I have always had passion for personal and professional development of others ever since I started working as a recruiter, my first job out of undergrad while I was applying for my first round of GC school. After not getting in the first round (#reapplicant), I took the feedback in stride and worked on building my resume and getting “more experience” in the field. I ended up taking a job as a Clinical Assistant at a genetic testing company, which is where my love for encouraging others to (be)come a genetic counselor was inspired.
While still learning about the field, I found myself holding impromptu workshops for others to learn about the profession and how to best prepare to apply since I had already been through one round. 3 years and a great deal of experience later, I applied again and got into Sarah Lawrence College. After graduating in 2018, I took my GC skills and applied them in various roles including clinical marketing, patient advocacy, non-profit and clinical counseling. Throughout the years, I've had the opportunity to continue my passion to encourage others in their professional development as a GC student supervisor. This allowed me to gain exposures and insights into GC Programs, developmental needs of students/applicants, and gave me the opportunity to be involved on grad school interview panels.
After training to be a professional life coach with the College of Executive Coaching, I was ready to fuse my passions of evolving the field of Genetic Counseling, professional development, and working with individuals who are and are aspiring to (Be)Come genetic counselors. With the help of GCPrep LLC, I've been able to make this dream a reality.

Coaching/mentorship
My Approach
My approach to coaching is pretty simple. I see us as a team and together we go on a thought provoking and reflective process to map out and define goals particular to making YOU feel confident and stand out amongst the rest of the applicants (both on paper and in person). Our ultimate goal is to elevate your confidence so you can speak authentically to who YOU are, WHY you are unique, WHAT skills/qualities you have that would make you a great GC, and WHY the schools should want you at their program (in a humble way, of course).
